Sledgehammer Games‘ next Call of Duty multiplayer experience is ditching the DP28 – a weapon we’ve seen in Call of Duty games before – for the DP27 in Call of Duty Vanguard. We’re not sure on the exact differences, but the “Plate Gun” is a beast and should be a fantastic choice for anyone looking to use a Light Machine Gun. Here’s the best DP27 loadout and class build for Vanguard’s multiplayer modes.

Vanguard’s DP27 – Light Machine Gun

The DP27 is one of the most mobile Light Machine Guns in Vanguard at launch – this means it’s a fantastic option for someone looking for something that hits hard and fast. As the colloquialism “Plate Gun” suggests, the DP27 has a “plate” magazine that’s a lot larger than an Assault Rifle or Submachine Gun. It also does a lot more damage than both of these weapon classes per shot.

The only drawback, as with any Light Machine Gun, is its naturally slow reload time and slower mobility. It’s good for a Light Machine Gun, but it isn’t going to compare to running around with a Submachine Gun. That being said, the DP27 can be tweaked to suit a run-and-gun gameplay style if you’re set on using it.
