Assault Rifles are one of the most popular weapon types in Call of Duty, and they are once again with the recently released Call of Duty: Vanguard. Roland wields an Assault Rifle and is the perfect Operator for STG44 users.

Here is everything you need to know about Roland in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

How to unlock Roland

To unlock Roland in Call of Duty: Vanguard you need to “Get 300 Assault Rifle Kills”. Assault Rifles are a very common weapon in Call of Duty, with the first Custom Loadout featuring an AR. Over the course of playing multiplayer, you should naturally unlock this.

“Roland was forcibly conscripted by the German Army after the invasion of Luxembourg. He reluctantly served in order to keep his family safe. When the Nazis betrayed him and sent his family to a concentration camp, Roland deserted his post and rampaged through Europe to save his loved ones. Sadly, he failed to rescue them. Roland’s vengeful path earn him the attention of Butcher, who recruited him to a new cause.”

Call of Duty Vanguard Roland Challenges

Like all of the other Operators, Roland has multiple challenges that feature three tiers, each scaling in the amount required.

Once you complete all three tiers for all four challenges you will earn Mastery for Roland, by completing Mastery for all three members of the Sentinel Task Force you will unlock the Grim Reaper Title and the Rangefinder Skin.

Here are Roland’s challenges,

  • Get 10/25/50 Eliminations with 10 Attachments Equipped as Roland
  • Get 50/100/150 Kills as Roland
  • Get 3/5/10 Wins as Roland
  • Get 10/25/50 Melee Kills as Roland

In addition to leveling up to his Prestige and weapons, you can also level up Operators up to level 20, with each new level unlocking new items.

Here are all of the unlocks for the Roland progression.

  • Level 2: Show Me A Target (Operator Quip)
  • Level 3: 1,500 XP
  • Level 4: Watchful Glare (Player Card)
  • Level 5: Hard Headed (Operator MVP Highlight)
  • Level 6: 1,000 STG44 XP (Weapon XP)
  • Level 7: Ace In The Hole (Sticker)
  • Level 8: 2,000 XP
  • Level 9: Sticky Situation (Emblem)
  • Level 10: Achtung (Operator Skin)
  • Level 11: Playing Cards (Charm)
  • Level 12: 1,500 STG44 XP (Weapon XP)

  • Level 14: Let My Gun Do The Talking (Operator Quip)
