Black Ops Cold War “Battle Royale” coming in Season 3
Season 3 is almost here and it seems like Black Ops Cold War is getting a battle royale mode of it’s own as it attempts to keep people interested in the larger Multi-Team playlists.
Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer is pretty good as they go. Everyone has their complaints, sure, but there’s a good selection of modes and Treyarch are always refining the experience with tuning updates and playlist changes to keep things fresh.
However, if there’s one thing that seemingly divides fans… It’s Fireteam: Dirty Bomb and the Multi-Team modes. They’re big, they’re good for in-game challenges, but they’re not perfect.
Now though, as we approach Season Three… We could be seeing Black Ops Cold War getting it’s own battle royale mode.
Black Ops Cold War’s Battle Royale
Multi-Team Elimination is coming to Black Ops Cold War Season Three and it seems like it’s getting its own battle royale mode!
This will be a last-team-standing experience that Black Ops Cold War players will be able to play on all the largest maps. If you were hoping for the Ural Mountains in Warzone, this could be the next best thing! Especially if you’re playing on a next-gen platform, anyway.
” The upcoming Multi-Team Elimination mode brings the last-team-standing experience to Black Ops Cold War’s biggest maps, where multiple teams of four will fight to survive ever-expanding radiation zones. Redeploys will be limited and loadouts will be restricted, so teams will need to scavenge for weapons, Scorestreaks, Armor, Redeploy Tickets, and more. Emerge as the last team standing or the first squad to board the exfil chopper in the final safe zone to achieve victory.”

Sounds pretty good right? We hope it plays out like it sounds. Warzone is great, but the next-gen graphics of Black Ops Cold War are just better.
Season Three Roadmap
This isn’t the only new thing coming to Black Ops Cold War, as you might imagine. There’s a whole load of great content coming to Treyarch’s shooter over the next few weeks.

Wraith, Knight, Antonov, and Captain Price are joining as new Operators. There’s the PPSh-41, a new Sniper Rifle, the Ballistic Knife and another three weapons being added throughout. We’re also getting four new Multiplayer maps!
There’s all this and we haven’t even mentioned Outbreak! Treyarch are widening their objectives and adding a new Field Upgrade to help keep things fresh in their ground-breaking new COD Zombies mode. It’s a lot and it’s going to be great.
