Mario Party Superstars: Can I play on my Switch Lite?

Mario Party Superstars was released on the Nintendo eShop on October 29th, right in time for the upcoming Holiday season. For holiday shoppers on a budget, it may sound like a good idea to get your loved one a Nintendo Switch Lite.

But it’s a good idea to do some research beforehand to see if you can play all of your favorite games- namely Superstars.

It may not seem like a big issue if Superstars is available on the Nintendo Switch Lite. I mean, it’s a Nintendo game, why would it not be available on Nintendo consoles?

But it’s not that simple. The most recent entry in the Mario Party franchise before Superstars: Super Mario Party was not capable of being played in handheld mode, which is an issue for those who wanted to play on the dock-less Nintendo Switch Lite.

However, Nintendo made sure that everyone could play Superstars no matter the console.

So, can you play Mario Party Superstars on Nintendo Switch Lite?

Yes, you can play Mario Party Superstars on Nintendo Switch Lite. As previously mentioned, Nintendo has learned from their mistakes and has made it possible to play the game on handheld and by extension Nintendo Switch Lite.

There are multiple ways to play Superstars on Nintendo Switch Lite. You can play side-by-side with friends via local wireless, play with friends or strangers across the globe via the online mode, or play by yourself in the minigame mountain with 100 new and classic minigames to browse through.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to play on your TV with your friends or family due to the Nintendo Switch Lite not having the ability to be docked. If you’re looking for a fun party game to play over the holidays then check out the regular Nintendo Switch or the recently released Nintendo Switch OLED.
