As of right now no release date has been given, but E3 2021 is right around the corner so hopefully we finally get a new release date for the game.

Is Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launching on PS5?

Well, the action-adventure-packed filled game would be available on PS5 on its launch. However, the game would not support certain PS5 features as confirmed in an Offical PlayStation Magazine-UK release.

Features not supported on PS5 Version of the game

The first feature of PS5 unavailable to The Skywalker Saga is ray tracing. PS5’s ray tracing adds realistic lighting to video games, it essentially gives games much better graphics.

The omission of this feature for the PS5 version of the game is not really one for players to be so bothered about. From the trailer of the game, the graphics will do just fine without the ray tracing feature to give it that extra spice.

Furthermore, the Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will not support the PS5 3D audio feature. Sony developed the 3D audio specifically for the PS5 and it improves a player’s audio quality in a game. With the 3D audio effect, a player hears the sound of the game as though it were happening around them.

In addition, the game will also not support adaptive triggers and DualSense haptic feedback. However, the console would have the full option of using its improved SSD drive that allows the game to load way faster.

So, even though these next-gen features of the PS5 would not be available to players of the game at launch, every P5S console owner can get the game when it launches.
