Will The Beta Feature Crossplay?

Crossplay allows players across all platforms to play with, and against, each other, bringing gamers on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC together.

Like other Call of Duty titles, crossplay will be part of the beta, but due to the beta being PlayStation exclusive from September 10th-13th, crossplay won’t be enabled until September 16th when Xbox and PC players can finally jump into the game.

File Size

The beta will be approximately 11GB for PS4 users, and surprisingly only 9GB for PS5 players. It hasn’t been confirmed yet how large the files will be for Xbox and PC, although we can assume they will be fairly similar.

The Call of Duty Vanguard Open Beta will give players a first look at many of the new maps and modes that will be coming to the game when it launches on November 5th.

Combat Pacing

“A brand-new feature to Call of Duty, the Combat Pacing system gives you control over how you want to play by breaking up the pacing into three distinct categories: Tactical, Assault, and Blitz.  For the classic 6v6 player experience you know and love, pick Tactical. If you want to up the ante, go Assault. Need it fast and frenetic? Blitz is your got to, jamming in high player counts for non-stop action and mayhem.

You can also set Combat Pacing to “All” to experience all three throughout your play session. The choice is yours.”
