Fortnite Spring Breakout Event: What you need to know

Epic Games has just announced the Spring Breakout Event coming to Fortnite soon, but when does it begin and what do you need to know about the event?

When does it start?

The Fortnite Spring Breakout Event begins tomorrow, March 30, 2021! So you should probably start preparing and saving those V-Bucks if you want to get all the cool new cosmetics! Speaking of cosmetics…..

What’s included in the Fortnite Spring Breakout Event?

Let’s take a look at what Epic has to say about what will be coming to Fortnite with the new Spring Breakout Event:

“Webster also arrives as a new Character with Legendary Quests to tackle… and a chance to receive an in-game reward. Arriving Thursday, April 1 (no Foolin’), if you complete the first Legendary Quest from Webster, you’ll unlock the Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe.”

So if you complete the first Legendary Quest from Webster, you can unlock the Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe pictured above, but what other new things are coming to the game, and what is possibly returning?

That’s right, the Egg Launcher is making its way back into Fortnite with the Spring Breakout Event! This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as Epic usually brings the Egg Launcher back just in time for Easter every year.

We’ve also got some brand new skins coming to the Fortnite Item Shop. Not gonna lie, we’re not really the biggest fan of these skins, but some of them kind of give of some Five Nights at Freddy’s vibes, so if you’re into that, you might be interested.

Fortnite Spring Breakout Cup

Here’s how you can participate in the brand new Fortnite Spring Breakout Cup, according to Epic:

“In order to participate in the Spring Breakout Cup, participating players must have their account level at 30 or above and have 2FA enabled. To enable 2FA, players must visit our 2FA page, log into their Epic account, and follow the onscreen instructions. Read the Spring Breakout Official Rules for a full breakdown of the tournament format, rewards, and participation requirements. Specific timing for your region can be found in the Compete tab in-game.”
