It took it all the way to the second stage of the Mid Season Invitational for the top team from Europe to lose a game. After being knocked down into the lower bracket, and being in danger of not making it to the first international tournament of the year.

Despite that fear, G2 Esports went on a huge winning streak that brought them all the way to today, where they finally lost their first two games.

Prior to this game, all of their games felt like they were just the better team with a better read on the meta, but that finally stopped today.

After losing to both PSG Talon and Royal Never Give Up, this should finally be a wake-up call for the team.

Instead of just winning every game because they were just the better team, they now have to think more about how they play the game, and how they draft for each matchup. Moving forward, how do they approach each matchup?
