Coming into the tournament, there was a ton of hype around the young roster of Evil Geniuses. The young players Danny and Jojopyun had people excited to see what they could do in their first international tournament.

Jojopyun himself had been tweeting about how he was going to beat Europe and how easy it would be.

The tournament has not borne out the way fans thought it would, however. Danny has not looked good in many of his games, especially against teams from major regions.

Jojopyun has not done much better, having less than optimal performances against the same teams.

In North America, it was known that Danny didn’t have a good laning phase but would carry games on champions like Jinx, Aphelios, or Tristana.

So far, his weak laning phase has reared its head, allowing him to be abused in lane by superior bot lanes. He has had his moments that fans in North America have known him for, but they are far and few between, leaving much to be desired.
