League Of Legends 2022 LCS Summer Split week five recap
Week four of the 2022 LCS Summer Split is here, and it signifies that it’s also the second half of the split. With the top eight teams making it into the Summer playoffs, who will make it, and who will be left out?
Will TSM and their new roster find a new strength after beating FlyQuest last week and start to build on their momentum, or will Immortals find their way after a disappointing split up to this point?
Some of the standout matches this week were 100 Thieves going against Evil Geniuses, Counter Logic Gaming going up against both Team Liquid Honda and Evil Geniuses, and TSM versus Immortals Progressive.

FlyQuest keep ascending
Though nobody really thought much of their 2022 LCS summer roster, especially with their decision to bring in a rookie in the top lane, FlyQuest has so far gone beyond their expectations. Philip, their rookie top-laner, has performed better than people had expected him to perform up to this point, and the team has grown outside of him as well.
Both Josedeodo and Toucouille are playing better than their counterparts in their roles, outside of Jojopyun and Inspired who both play on Evil Geniuses. This week, with his performance, Toucouille earned the Player Of The Week award due to his play against Golden Guardians and Dignitas, an award that has been earned constantly by Evil Geniuses players.
The only downside of this team is their bot lane, but even then, they are playing better each game. Johnsun, the ADC of FlyQuest, finished the week with a 6/2/9 KDA while Aphromoo, their support player, has always played well and stood out for his play for years.
If this team can keep its growth on target, and not falter like they did when they dropped a game to TSM, the other top teams should be scared of FlyQuest and what they can do.
