2022 League Of Legends LCS Summer Split week four recap

Evil Geniuses LCS Roster Summer Split Week 4

The 2022 LCS Summer Split is back with its fourth week after taking last week off. Despite there being no games last week, teams still practised and made changes to their rosters, hoping to see the fruits of the changes during week four of the LCS Summer Split.

With TSM changing out the majority of their roster, Immortals doing their best to break their long losing streak, or top teams like Team Liquid Honda and 100 Thieves trying to fix their inconsistency, there was a lot to prove coming out of the bye week.

2022 LCS Summer Split Week Four Day One Results:

  • FlyQuest > 100 Thieves
  • Dignitas < Evil Geniuses
  • Cloud9 > TSM
  • Immortals Progressive < CLG
  • Team Liquid Honda > Golden Guardians

2022 LCS Summer Split Week Four Day Two Results:

  • TSM > FlyQuest
  • CLG < 100 Thieves
  • Evil Geniuses > Team Liquid Honda

How did the new TSM roster look?

During the week off, TSM decided to drop a bombshell and announce that most of their starting LCS roster and Academy rosters would see changes. The new starting roster is now Soul in the top lane, Spica in the jungle, Maple playing mid-lane, and Instinct alongside Chime would make up the bottom lane.

Tactical and Mia, the previously starting duo, were sent down to their Academy team, and Huni decided to step back from being an active player due to wrist injuries. With a team that has seen turmoil for the last year, how would this new roster respond?

In their first game, it went as expected. Cloud9 easily handled the new TSM roster, finishing the game in thirty-one minutes. The kill score was twenty to nine in Cloud9’s favor and a 17.4 thousand gold lead as well as dragon soul. Their second game of the week against FlyQuest was a different story.

With FlyQuest playing from home, it’s not clear if that really made a difference or not, but the outcome was in TSM’s favor. The team played well around Soul’s lead in the top lane, smashed in bot lane, and Spica worked well with Maple all around the map to win the first game for the new roster. It could be that the new roster still needs time to gel together before they start winning more games, but this weekend was a good first step.
