Immortals Roster Changes Seem To Be Working

Before the week started, Immortals made a roster announcement regarding the upcoming Super Week. Instead of just WildTurtle playing, who had been starting for the entire split up till now, the coaching staff announced that Arrow, the academy bottom laner, was also going to be playing this weekend. This decision seems to have worked, with Immortals Progressive winning two out of their three games. Their one loss against Golden Guardians could have been avoided since they did have the early lead, but due to a series of mistakes, they lost the game.

It’s going to be tough for the Immortals coaching staff to choose who is going to be the starter moving forward, since both iterations of the teams performed well, for the most part. It could come down to intangibles, where Arrow could bring more communication to the team, while WildTurtle can bring something else that the fans and press just can’t see. It is also possible, however, that the team decides to do a six-man roster, and substitute players depending on the matchup, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Next week is the start of the second half of the 2022 LCS Spring Split, and teams are going to want to secure their places to get into playoffs. Every game counts from here, and no mistakes can be made. The second half begins with Immortals Progressive taking on Evil Geniuses on Saturday, March 5th at 1:30 PM PST/ 4:30 PM EST/ 9:30 PM GMT.
