The 2022 LCS Lock In tournament, the tournament that kicks off the 2022 NA LCS season is right around the corner, but who is most likely to win the whole thing? With new team rosters and new coaching staff for some teams, the first tournament of the year could be exciting.

2022 LCS Lock In Tournament Likely Winner: 100 Thieves

Most likely the easy answer of the bunch, 100 Thieves are the most likely to win the whole 2022 LCS Lock In tournament. With the entire team returning from winning the 2021 LCS Summer Split, and only adding the sixth man in top laner Tenacity, 100 Thieves are likely going to win the whole thing. The lack of growing pains and having already played together will heavily work in the favor of the team this time around.

2022 LCS Lock In Tournament Dark Horse: Immortals

Though they lost their head coach in Guilhoto, who left for Team Liquid, Immortals has a dark horse chance to win the whole thing. With veterans Power of Evil and WildTurtle joining, who both played together on the 2019 FlyQuest roster that went to worlds, along with the returning faces of Revenge, Xerxe and Destiny, the team looks to be in a better spot than it was last year and could give 100 Thieves and Team Liquid a run for their money.

Held Back: TSM and Cloud9

Both TSM and Cloud9 spend this offseason picking up players from Eastern Asia, along with Cloud9 picking up LS as their coach, but due to circumstances surrounding their visas, those new pickups won’t be able to make it for the tournament. Filling in those spots will be academy players who obviously won’t be at the level of the intended starters. Due to that fact, TSM and Cloud9 are likely to not reach as far as some fans may have expected.

The 2022 LCS Lock-In Tournament starts on January 14th, 2022. The first game of the day, at 2:30 PM PST/ 5:30 PM EST/ 10:30 PM GMT, will be 100 Thieves taking on TSM, and can be watched at lolesports.com.
