The 2022 LCS Spring Split is almost here. Similar to last year, the Lock In Tournament is here to give the teams with new looks an opportunity to show their new rosters, as well as a warm-up for every team before the main split starts.

2022 LCS Lock In Format

The 2022 LCS Lock In tournament has two main stages: the group stage and the knockout stage. In the Group Stage, there are ten teams that are participating. Those ten teams are then drafted into two groups, with each team selecting another to be placed in the opposite group. This stage is a single round-robin and is all best of one. The top four teams from each group that emerge on the top move on to the knockout stage.

In the knockout stage, eight of the ten teams are able to participate. This time instead of a single round-robin, the teams will play in a single-elimination bracket, where each series is a best of three up till the quarterfinals, where the series moving forward will be a best of five. The winner of this tournament will get $150,000 USD.
