Fortnite: How to register for DreamHack August 2021
It is almost time for the next DreamHack Fortnite tournament, giving the players the opportunity to compete in both Cash Cups and an Open tournament for their share of a $200,000 prize pool.
Here is everything you need to know about DreamHack Fortnite in August 2021.
When Is The DreamHack Tournament In August 2021?
The DreamHack Open tournament is back, after not being ran in July, meaning players can take part in both the Open tournament and Cash Cup Extra this month.
The next DreamHack Fortnite Open tournament will begin on Wednesday, August 11th, with the tournament taking place over four rounds.
August’s Cash Cup Extra tournament will take place on August 25th.
How To Take Part?
The DreamHack Open and Cash Cup Extra tournaments are available to players in the EU and NA-East regions.
DreamHack Open will be in the Duos format, and the Cash Cup Extra will be a Trios tournament.
Players don’t need to sign up for the DreamHack Open tournament, instead, they can be found in the Compete section of the in-game lobby on August 11th.
When it comes to the Cash Cup Extra, the top 132 teams from August 23rd’s Cash Cup will be invited to take part in DreamHack’s tournament.
To be eligible for the August 23rd Cash Cup all members of your Trio must be in Champion League in the game’s Arena mode, this is from Division 8-10.
Schedule And Prize Pool
DreamHack Open will take place between August 11th and 19th and will be split into four rounds, with the top teams from each round advancing to the next.

- August 11th 6pm-12am – Heats 1 & 2
- August 12th 6pm-9pm – Heat 3
- August 18th 7pm-10pm – Semi Finals – Top 500 Duos from each Heat to compete with the top 50 advancing to Grand Finals
- August 19th 7pm-11pm – Grand Finals
NA-East (Times In EDT)
- August 11th 7pm-10pm – Heats
- August 12th 7pm-10pm – Semi Finals
- August 18th 7pm-11pm – Grand Finals

The next DreamHack Fortnite tournaments come after a busy week in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
This week we saw the Ariana Grande concert, along with the addition of Guile and Cammy from Street Fighter coming to the game to join Ryu and Chun-Li.
On August 10th we will finally be able to unlock Superman, the secret skin for the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass.
The week 9 challenges are also live now, with the Legendary Quests being available until Thursday, August 12th so make sure you get them done in time.
Week 9 Epic Quests
Here are the Fortnite week 9 Epic Quests.
- Launch toilets with a Grab-itron (2)
- Dance on an Abductor or as a passenger on a Saucer (1)
- Avoid taking damage while dealing 100 damage to opponents in a single match (1)
- Reveal an opponent with a Recon Scanner, then hit them with a Railgun (1)
- Drive an IO vehicle with off-road tires (1000)
- Use IO launchpads (1)
- Carry an alien sample from a Satellite Station’s Dish to an entrance of Corny Complex (2)
Each Epic Quest is worth 30,000 XP, giving a total of 210,000 XP, or around 2 and a half levels of the Battle Pass.

Week 9 Legendary Quests
Here are the Fortnite week 9 Legendary Quests.
- Get Slone’s orders from a Payphone (1)
- Equip a Detector, then disable an Alien Billboard in one match (2)
- Collect resources in Holly Hatchery (100)
- Eliminate Trespassers (3)
- Place a Bioscanner in an Alien Biome (1)
- Place Spy Probes (3)
The first level is worth 15,000 XP, the second is worth 45,000 XP, followed by four stages that grant 30,000 XP, giving a total of 180,000 XP or around 2 levels worth of XP. But, be fast because these challenges are only available until Wednesday, August 4th before they will disappear.
