Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #3 Review: The most action yet

Batman Fortnite Zero Point 3 #3 DC Comics

While I’ve been very impatiently awaiting the rumored appearance of Deathstroke in Batman/Fortnite Zero Point, #3 brought us Snake Eyes VS Batman and I will immediately say this issue is my favorite so far. I understand a story and structure must be setup before the real intensity of the story comes into play. However, being a short series, I do wish that Batman/Fortnite didn’t have such a slow build up, but this issue makes the wait mostly worth it. Below we’re going to go over the new issue and how we feel about it overall. Below we’re going to detail the issue while trying not to spoil it beyond worth reading in our Batman/Fortnite Zero Point #3 Review.

DISCLAIMER: This article may contain spoilers for Batman/Fortnite Zero Point #3.

Not much of a personal fan of Snake Eyes or G.I. Joe in general, I still get the obsession as a classic franchise but with that being said, as someone that isn’t a fan of the franchise, I was still blown away. Even though words can’t be expressed on the island, for most at least.

Batman/Fortnite Zero Point Goodies

If you’re not a comic reader or just don’t really want to go through the hassle of getting a physical comic, then we have news for you. DC offers a digital subscription service for those that want to view the comic this way.

You may be asking yourself, even as an avid Fortnite fan, “Why would I want this?” Well, every issue comes with a code for something in Fortnite such as a glider, a skin, or possibly more and redeeming all 6 codes will give you the Armored Batman Skin.

As each issue comes out related items in Item Shop are also being released, such as the Catwoman Zero Outfit being released in the shop with the Catwoman’s Grappling Claw Pickaxe code for comic buyers.

For the real collectors out there that are actually looking forward to getting the physical comics, there are several variants to collect from each release. Expect original covers as well as variants from Jim Lee for Zero Point #3 and variants from Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard.

Batman in Fortnite or Gotham: Making frenemies

Upon first reading issue #3, it immediately felt similar to the other issues at first but quickly became pure action. This issue felt similar to other issues due to the visual of Batman fighting his way through enemies within the first half of the issue.

It was very hyped and known that we would see Snake Eyes VS Batman in this issue but the connection we discover that they have is what really makes this issue turn heads. Throughout the issue we see, from beginning to end, Batman locking eyes, fists, and weapons with Snake Eyes.

Suddenly as the issue is reaching its end and it feels like it’s going to play out similar to to the other issues at this point, we see something interesting between Batman and Snake Eyes. While I won’t say exactly what this connection between the two tends to be, it is yet another element Batman is using to his advantage, somehow.

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #3 strange dialogue

Batman/Fortnite issue #3 introduces strange and new, but very important, dialogue from semi-unknown sources.

The dialogue is in the form of a sort of e-mail or chat service that some sort of agency appears to be using to communicate with each other and some outside sources as well.

The only thing that seems to be definitive about these so called communications are that they are from an agency such as the Imagined Order or whoever exactly Jonesy works for.

Overall, I like this issue a lot and was my favorite review to do so far in the Batman/Fortnite Zero Point series.

Honestly, the whole concept and engagement between the dialogue adding context to what we’re seeing between Batman and Deathstroke’s Zero Point relationship and everything else about the island gave me huge Cabin In The Woods vibes.

It shocks me that I’ve never put Fortnite into a Cabin In The Woods scenario before but following guidelines similar to that movie, Fortnite could very well be pulling something along those lines all these years.
