A new project was already announced during the last month. Shonen Gangan, the magazine where FMA was originally published, has been teasing us with a mysterious website for some time. We have no big information on what it may be, but according to Gangan, it has something to do with the series creator Hiromu Arakawa, and is also “something the fans don’t wanna miss”.

Note that Shonen Gangan is owned by Square Enix, so this Fullmetal Alchemist 20th Anniversary announcement can be anything from a console game to a new manga series. We can only hope that it’s not a new live-action announcement, since the last one wasn’t exactly the most pleasant experience we’ve had.

Fullmetal Alchemist was created by Hiromu Arakawa and had two anime adaptations. The first one in 2003 follows a different path from the original manga and has its end in the “Conqueror of Shamballa” movie. Another adaptation, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, was released in 2009, being a more faithful version of the manga’s events. Both versions and the aforementioned Live Action are available on Netflix.
