MHA 357 opens directly after the events of the last chapter, with Endeavor’s sudden attack against All for One being mitigated by a force field quirk. Despite seeing the attack coming, All for One comments on the blow being a close one, musing on how a wounded hero truly is the scariest thing. This is juxtaposed with a spread of an enraged Endeavor.

Suddenly, Endeavor appears before the villain at astonishing speeds, the source of such revealed to be a number of feathers Hawks had sent to propel Endeavor. Due to this sudden attack, Endeavor lands a massive blow on All for One which knocks him to the ground, much to the other heroes’ confusion. The plan was apparently to keep All for One in the air, but Endeavor explains that he couldn’t afford to use his main attack while his foe was on constant defense. Hawks then comments on how cooled off Endeavor appears.

Kamui Woods grabs many of the other heroes on the scene so they can escape, much to their disappointment. The pro hero tells the others that Endeavor needs space in this fight, quickly proven by a devastating blow that breaks All for One’s force field. The attack continues as Endeavor drags the villain across the ground a great distance. The villain then comments on his restricted mobility without his mask and reaches out to grab Endeavor, attempting to steal his quirk.

Endeavor is able to thwart this attempt using fire from his eyes, telling All for One that those hands only exist to destroy others’ futures. The villain argues that Endeavor is very much the same to which Endeavor simply agrees. In classic All for One fashion, he begins to try his mind games yet again by reminding Endeavor that the past will never escape him and that resentment and punishment will follow him into the next generation of heroes. Endeavor shrugs that off, noting that he must win this battle so that these children even have a future to fight for, showcasing a number of students aged up, and noting that he will accept punishment so long as he himself lives as he must confront his son.

The story notes that Endeavor will continue to hate himself as he launches a Prominence Burn at max power again All for One, reducing the villain entirely to a charred corpse with no signs of regeneration. Despite all the assurance, Hawks shouts to Endeavor to run from the villain’s body as he can be heard once more. All for One taunts the heroes, noting that he would surely set up schemes. He had to test if something would work, and that appears to be what heroes do best: putting their own bodies in danger. An eye and ear begin to grow from the body as the narrator states that villains, too, are scarier when injured.

The scene shifts to the first user of One for All informing Deku that something strange is happening, sensing multiple somethings, or ones, approaching the scene. End of MHA 357.
